Chicken Haleem
Haleem is a dish that is very popular amongst the muslim community of Pakistan. It is especially prepared in the Muslim countries during moharram and relished by the community members.
Ingredients:
- Chicken boneless 1 kg
- Yogurt 250 gm
- Oat 25 gm
- Rice 50 gm
- Yellow lentil 50 gm
- Red lentil 50 gm
- White lentil 50 gm
- Gram bell 50 gm
- Wheat 50 gm
- Green coriander ½ bunch
- Mint ½ bunch
- Latif Cooking Oil 1 cup
- Onion 2
- Green chilies 8 to 10
- Garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Ginger paste 2 tbsp
- Gulzaar special haleem Masala 3 tbsp
- Lemon
- Ginger
- Fried onion & chat Masala for garnish
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions:
- First soak all the lentils in water for whole night.
- Now boil wheat and oat also.
- Cut chicken in small pieces.
- In a pan add heat latif cooking oil then put onion and cook till it turn light brown.
- Now add chicken, ginger paste and garlic paste to mix.
- Then add gulzar special haleem Masala, salt to taste, whole green chilies and whisked yogurt and mix it well.
- Add as required water and leave it cook till it tender.
- Now in a pan add water, all lentils and rice to mix and cover it to simmer till all tender.
- In a chopper put lentil mixture and chicken batter to blend and add in a big pan.
- Now cook it on low flame and stir it continuously, so add ingredients mix and tender.
- Now baghar with fried onion and dish it out.
- Serve it with fried onion, julienns ginger, green coriander, chat masala and lemon.
